    FDA-CFSA discussion: Paving the way for meat innovation in U.S. and China

    For the first time, regulatory experts from two of the largest potential markets for meat innovation, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA), conferred on the regulatory approval process and prospects for cultivated meat in these two major markets. The event was supported and attended by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) and the China Meat Association (CMA), who are also major influencers in developing China’s protein innovation market.

    China Global Protein Innovation Dialogues: Commercialization and opportunities

    Amidst a global food crisis, Josh Tetrick, David Welch, Caio Malufe, and other agri-food industry thought leaders joined policymakers from China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs online to discuss food security and the prospects of cultivated meat in China and around the world.

    China’s first industry standard and regulation symposium on meat alternatives was held by China Plant Based Foods Alliance (CPBFA) in Beijing on 24th September.
